What's on Cano-be that wouldn't be on MEPIS KDE 4.2 that's been fully updated ? @ Danum,do you want a Cano-be torrent to replace the existing torrents on Linuxtracker, or would you rather leave the torrents we have now and keep Cano-be in house, so to speak. I don't want to do anything until you give the ok and let your wishes be known on how you want things done. Downloading the 32 bit right now and will burn a cd and check it out when it's finished. You can upload it to Linuxtracker if you would, but leave the other torrents up for now. What is on the DVD, KDE4 is fully up to date as you would expect plus build-essentials and a host of dev files for KDE4, printer setup has improved, root actions menu installed. Warren is due to release 8-1 shortly so I will build both 32 and 64 bit on that, based on the feedback from Cano-be Thanks Wayne Danum

Danum,
I see 4.2.4 has been released as of June 2, 2009. Excuse me for asking if it has been stated before, but what is the safe way to take the remaster from 4.2.3 to 4.2.4? Is there any of the repos that should NOT be enabled?
Thanks

Looking for a downgrade for transcode. Apparently k3b does not want to play nice with any version of transcode higher than 1.0.7. SM8 uses 1.0.7 and is able to rip dvd's without any problems. KDE4 uses 1.0.12 and will not rip a dvd, giving the error code 1.
Is there a way to get 1.0.7 into KDE4?

Is there a way to get 1.0.7 into KDE4? Have you tried changing "unstable" to "lenny" in the debian-multimedia repository line? Synaptic seems happy to install 1.0.7 when I do that here.

Thanks
I'll give that a try once I get my other problems sorted out in synaptic.
