Use VM option for installing in VirtualBox

Use the sgfxi script to install nVidia / ATI drivers, can also be installed to the live DVD

DO NOT USE SYNAPTIC TO UPGRADE THE SYSTEM, synaptic has no brains, aptitude has.

The recommended way to keep up to date is by using aptitude, not Synaptic. ie. in Konsole as root

#aptitude update
#aptitude full-upgrade
To install applications from Lenny :- #aptitude install name-of-app.
To install applications from Testing :- #aptitude -t testing install name-of-app.
To install applications from Unstable :- #aptitude -t unstable install name-of-app.

Note:- the Mepis 8.5 repo has been removed, if you choose to add it and enable it you will be downgrading KDE 4.3 as it is NOT up to date.
